As of this writing, this item carries an improper description, and the clue is the “FM” suffix on the end of the model number (KPA-H2CFM). This is NOT the usual car kit for the Kenwood Here2Anywhere unit — it’s the FM modulator car kit. In addition to the listed accessories, an FM stereo modulator is integrated into the docking base of this unit, and allows you to have a cordless connection to your car stereo.

This delivers audio nearly as good as the cassette adapter model, and leaves only the cigarette lighter power source and antenna as the only wires you need to worry about.

As with the other car kit, the antenna is a magnetic mount unit, along with a strip of self-adhesive tape for the “tail” portion of the antenna. Cable length is sufficient for nearly any standard sedan, station wagon, or hatchback application. (Unfortunately, installation can be an issue in most pick-up trucks unless you’re somewhat creative.)

A good compliment to the Here2Anywhere receiver unit for anyone willing to pay a (roughly) premium for FM instead of a cassette interface.

WAS going to benefit everyone: the music industry and the consumer Could Be Happy with this choice. Would new music markets emerge. Music That Could Never Be Heard on commercial radio stations Would find an audience. Would sales go up. Consumers Would Have more choices.

It Was Truly a win-win idea with a lot ofexcitement and momentum. It WAS going to change everything. That is, until the MP3 showed up. Now satellite radio has about as many subscribers, as people buying iPods in one-quarter. How did this to Happen?

The first one I ordered was preowned,like new and did not work.Amazon refunded everything so Big Kudos here for taking care of consumers.I then purchased (for 10 bucks more)a brand new unit.Being this was a birthday present for my other half I only checked if it powered up properly and not the sound.All was well and when I gave it to her and connected her Sportster5 to it we were extremely surprised by the depth of the sound which is helped by the subwoofer.We enjoyed an evening of Margaritaville which has a nice mix of music to judge the quality of this piece.The sound is amazing and it is pleasant to look at.As for ease of operation:we did not even have to run the antenna anywhere,just left it on the cradle on the back and had fantastic reception.Mind you we live downtown Miami 15th floor surrounded by higher buildings that should block the signal,but no problems here as other people have complained about this before.
